Brittany Laeger-Instructor and Studio Manager
First exposed to Pilates in high school, Brittany Laeger found the extensive benefit of Pilates for strengthening and centering her body: at first, with her mother (a certified Pilates Instructor – The Pilates Center, Boulder, CO) as cross-training for her classical ballet training, and later as part of a three-year recovery from a career-ending incident that included two major surgeries.
When she moved to Washington D.C. for a job in Public Relations, she soon discovered that her body was not used to all the hours sitting at a desk. This created more issues to work through. Increasing her study of Pilates has not only helped strengthen her body to alleviate much of her pain, but also given her mind a balance between the stress of life and a return to movement.
She entered the Romana’s Pilates training program in 2018, and has studied under the tutelage of Fidel Garcia (owner of Capital Pilates Studio), Sari Mejia Santos (daughter of Romana Kryznaowska, protégé of Joseph H. Pilates), Cynthia Shipley, Jamie Trout, Anthony Rabara, and Janice Dulak.
